Admission Requirements

Rules and Regulations:

Academic by-laws:

 

  • The application of the by-laws of Khartoum College of Medical Sciences shall be after the approval by the Academic Council and after being signed by the dean of the college.
  • The by-laws will be implemented for all students applying to join the college and be registered in the various programs.

 

Definitions:

The Dean Is the dean of Khartoum College of Medical Sciences
The Academic Secretary Is the secretary of academic affairs of the college
The Secretary General Is the secretary general of the college
The Registrar Is the registrar of the college
The Librarian Is the person responsible for the organization, development and running of the college library and is responsible to the Dean
The Academic Council Is the Academic Council of the college
College Administration Consists of the Dean, Vice Dean, Academic Secretary and Secretary General
The Ministry Means the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Enrollment:

  • Enrollment in the various programs of the college is in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research and the Academic Council of the college.
  • The student is responsible for the accuracy and validity of his/her documents, and bears the consequences of fraud in these documents throughout the registration of the student in the college.
  • The college announces the dates of admission through the Central Admission Department, Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research and other venues.
  • Acceptance to various programs is subject to competition, recommended list of students by the Central Admission Department and satisfying the college's requirements.
  • A student is accepted only after passing the medical examination, the interview and paying the tuition and registration fees.

Conditions of admission to the various programs:

  • Students should have obtained the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent and pass all subjects required by each program.

      Direct application to join the college requires the following:

  1. Filling in the special form after paying the specified fees.
  2. Four colored photographs (passport size).
  3. Copy of Nationality Certificate.
  4. Birth Certificate.
  5. The original Secondary School Certificate.
  •       The college sends all documents to Central Admission Department of The Ministry for final approval.
  •        The student's guardian should sign a document agreeing to abide with the rules and regulations of the college.

Tuition Fees:

The following are the tuition fees for the different programs:

  •  Sudanese and foreign students are required to pay 250 SDG as a fee for registration and for the cost of the student’s ID card.
  • Students who score 80% and above in the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent for the year 2012/2013 shall be given a 15% discount which may be paid in two installments. The first installment must be paid during registration.
  • Students that pay their fees in installments should pay 50% at the time of registration and the remaining 50% after two months.
  • Students that score 79% or less in their Sudanese Secondary School Certificate shall be given a 10% discount in case they pay all their fees at once at the time of registration, otherwise no discount shall be given and the fees may be paid in three installments.
  • Sudanese students that are transferred from other colleges or universities and that satisfy the college's requirements shall be given a 10% discount if they pay all their fees at once at the time of registration, otherwise they shall be given a 5% discount that is payable in 3 installments.
  • If three siblings or more are admitted to the college, each shall be given a discount of 5%. If the fees are paid at once, each shall be given an additional 5% discount, otherwise, the fees shall be payable in 3 installments with no further discount.
  • Sudanese students that repeat their academic year shall be given a 10% discount if the fees are paid in full at once.
